I switched to Blot when Calepin and Scriptogr.am, similar free services where I had my blog hosted, were both folding. It was a welcome change to pay for such a service in hopes it too wouldn't shut down.
Regrettably as is always the case with Markdown-driven services there were some migration pains, and even more regrettably I haven't actually done anything with my blog, but I will say that David was great to deal with, gave thoughtful replies that indicated he recognized the value of my suggestions, and seems to take a lot of pride in the service.
I think I'm about ready to ditch Facebook after a year's experiment, and I've been inactive on Twitter for quite some time, so maybe it's time to go old-school again.
